NirSoft NetBScanner is a freeware network scanning tool that scans a range of IPs you choose using the NetBIOS protocol.
NetBScanner also shows whether a computer is a Master Browser.
For each computer found with the scanner, the following information is displayed: IP Address, Computer Name, Workgroup or Domain, MAC Address, and the company that manufactured the network adapter (determined according to the MAC address).
This utility works on every version of Windows, starting from Windows 2000 and up to Windows 8, including both 32-bit systems and x64 systems.
NetBIOS requires port 137 is not blocked by a firewall.
